Program Introduction
General Information
Pharmacy Services program is an associate degree program within the Department of Pharmacy Services. It has the mission of training the intermediate staff needed by the pharmaceutical industry, especially pharmacies, in the light of modern techniques and scientific approaches. The program includes courses aimed at establishing the basic infrastructure for health services, theoretical courses and practical applications for pharmacy services as of the second semester. A 20-day internship to experience the knowledge acquired in the courses in practice is also among the graduation requirements.

Aims and Objectives of the Program
The main purpose of the program is for pharmacy services; To train qualified intermediate health human resources who have the responsibility of research and learning, can approach from a scientific perspective, have strong communication skills, are prone to team work, and will play a role in drug preparation, drug sales and regulatory processes. At this point, the detailed qualifications intended to be acquired by students are as follows;
To obtain a strong theoretical background in the field of health services and pharmacy services and to be able to transfer it to practical applications,
To be able to access up-to-date information needed in the field of health and especially pharmacy services, to make analysis and synthesis, to master new technologies,
Being active and problem solving in communication processes with patients, pharmaceutical companies and healthcare institutions,
Mastering all procedures and processes related to medicines; preparation, use, storage conditions, sales, consultancy, etc.
Ensuring the general order of the pharmacy, taking part in purchasing processes when necessary, assisting with billing and corporate relations.

Admission Conditions
The basic admission conditions are for candidates to meet the conditions determined by ÖSYM, to be a high school graduate and to have received sufficient points from the University Student Selection Examination. For horizontal transfers, individuals must also meet the acceptance requirements.

Graduation Requirements
Students who have 120 ECTS/ECTS, a GPA of "2.00" out of 4.00 and have completed their compulsory internship are entitled to graduation. Graduates are awarded an associate degree in the Pharmacy Services Program.

Employment Opportunities
Graduates can work in private pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, drug stores, laboratories and hospital pharmacies with the title of "Pharmacy Technician". Graduates can work in public or private enterprises. Health investments in Turkey continue at an increasing rate. The increase in integrated health campuses, private hospitals and medical centers and efforts to modernize public hospitals bring about the need for pharmacy services and the need for modernization in this field. Public and university hospitals frequently recruit health technicians for this purpose. Pharmacy technicians are also among these recruitments. Private hospitals also prefer to work with health technicians for their pharmacies.
