Pharmacy technician is an indispensable profession that is critical for the efficient operation of pharmacies in community pharmacies, hospitals or other healthcare institutions. The definition of pharmacy technician according to the legal regulations in our country is a graduate of the pharmacy services program of vocational schools; A health technician who prepares prescription drugs under the supervision of a pharmacist and assists with pharmacy activities. In this context, pharmacy technicians are responsible for preparing medications correctly according to prescriptions, collecting medical history and other necessary information by directly interacting with patients, preventing potential drug interactions by comparing the medications the patient is currently using with the medications they are about to start, counseling patients and referring them to pharmacists when necessary. Pharmacy technicians also maintain patient information, medication orders and inventory records using technology. They ensure that all activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and safety standards. In this context, we continue our work with a young, dynamic academic staff who aim to ensure that our students have these skills and are professionally trained in the best possible way and thus provide high quality health services.
As faculty members of the department, our mission is to equip you, our valued students, with quality and international standard information and thus to train professionally equipped pharmacy technicians with strong organizational and communication skills and to bring them into healthcare services.
